The December meeting was our first look at CSS Flexbox, a proposed specification that would make layouts easier and more flexible.
We reviewed previous how pages were laid out with tables and currently with floats and positioning. Flexbox promises to fix some of the problems with those approaches and to make responsive design easier.
We looked at these two videos by Wes Bos as introductions:
We then worked on an example of laying out a section of a page with an image and some involved positioning using flexbox.
