At our February meeting, we started with a site called Watch People Code. The name says it all. The site aggregates streaming videos of programmers writing code. Entertaining and instructive, or something.
We then worked with CodePen, an online editor for webpages that displays immediate results as the code is edited. CodePen is becoming a very popular location for designers and front-end developers to create and collaborate and also to search the public “pens”, as they are called, for sample code. I have set up a PACS CodePen site where I have uploaded some HTML and CSS samples from past meetings. These samples can be edited without permanently affecting the underlying code.
